Guests arriving after 18:00 must inform the property in advance about their arrival time. Guests can make a reservation on site for private use of indoor/outdoor hot spring baths. Advance reservations are not possible.Guests can leave luggage at the property prior to check-in.Please note that an additional charge will incur for children under 3 years old who are staying in the room. Any older child will be charged as an adult.To eat breakfast at the property, a reservation must be made at check-in.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Staying at this ryokan in Hakone felt like coming home. The room was spacious with a stunning view I truly felt like I was living the Japanese dream. The futons were incredibly comfortable, and the fresh mountain air made everything feel even more special. Lisa and her brother are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond even helping us book a restaurant in another city when we were struggling. Their kindness and sincerity really touched us. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip. I can’t recommend it enough.

The private onsens (one outdoor, one indoor) were both lovely and spacious enough to share with your group. We were a large group and were able to book 3 rather than 2 sessions despite having 2 rooms. The private onsen was an extra 500 yen per person however was well worth it! There is a lovely dog, Laito, who is an adorable miniature daschund who we were lucky enough to meet! The rooms are super spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we were given yukata to wear and an overlayer for these (not sure what it was called, but it was super comfy!) The common area with free tea and coffee was lovely as well, with a communal fridge that we were able to use (Lawsons was a 4 minute walk) The owner was lovely and showed us plenty of food recommendations when we arrived (there are a few places close by), and also had english menus available. He also taught us how to play 'kendama' in the evening, after watching 'rakugo' in english. There was also origami, twister, and plenty of other games to keep us entertained. It was extremely rainy the morning we stayed there and we had a great time enjoying all the fun games in the hostel given that we didn't want to do our planned hike in the rain! The hospitality was unmatched - highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone going to Hakone :)

We LOVED our stay here :-) it is a beautiful guesthouse and the owner was so lovely and friendly. Location was great, room was super comfortable traditional Japanese style (the best nights sleep we had on our trip!). Our room was overlooking trees and we could hear the river. Both private onsens were lovely but the outside one was a real highlight. Thanks for having us!

We loved everything about our stay and will definitely come back one day :) The place is clean and well-organized. The balcony in the room has a beautiful view of the bamboo forest. The futon beds were super comfy too. We slept really well! The owner (we guess he is?) and the staff are incredibly kind. He really pays attention to details - he remembered what guests mentioned during check-in and checked in with everyone at breakfast, asking how their plans were going. There are quite a few restaurant options nearby. Both the outdoor and indoor onsens are lovely—the outdoor one is especially relaxing.
