Beautiful and peaceful location, great to recharge. Henry and staff were so helpful, Henry booked a great day tour to Lan Ha Bay for us including transport to and from the harbour (very much recommended!). He also booked our ongoing trip to Sa Pa for us. The restaurant provided good food (great mango smoothie!) and the poolside was very relaxing. Lovely atmosphere at night with all the lights. You can eat outside in the garden (to avoid mosquitoes the best time is 7.30 pm omward).

Great place to relax. In the middle of nature. Staff were super nice. Food was good. A bit hard to get to but worth it.

Papillon is a lovely spot if you're looking for something different — surrounded by nature, away from tourist crowds. The bungalows are charming and clean, with beautiful wooden interiors. I loved waking up to birds and fresh jungle air. The staff are super friendly and helped us book a boat tour and rent a scooter. The food was tasty, though the menu is a bit limited if you're staying several nights.

If you're planning a trip to Vietnam and want to experience the beauty of nature without the overwhelming crowds, Papillon in Cat Ba is an absolute must! I stumbled upon Papillon during my journey through northern Vietnam, and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of my trip. Tucked away in the lush, green hills of Cat Ba Island, this place offers a perfect blend of peaceful nature, unique design, and warm Vietnamese hospitality.
