The kindness and warmth of the owner, who speaks excellent English, make you feel at home right away in this hostel, which truly feels like a hidden gem. He is always happy to help with booking tours and sharing local recommendations. I stayed here for two days in the hostel room and had a great experience. The location is excellent, close to a peaceful lake surrounded by the limestone rock formations typical of the area. I appreciated being away from the crowded tourist zone of Cát Bà Island, especially since the coastal center is currently busy with construction. Despite the quieter setting, many tour operators offer pick-up directly from the hostel, and the center can be reached in less than ten minutes by bus or with Grab. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options and fresh eggs cooked to order to the chef. The laundry service was fast and affordable, the beds were comfortable with privacy curtains, and the bathrooms were among the best I found in hostels across Vietnam — spacious, clean, and stocked with complimentary toiletries such as shampoo, shower caps, toothbrushes. I am genuinely very satisfied and highly recommend this place!

the staff is amazing, super nice and helpful, and also the garden, really beautiful and peaceful. I loved also the beach near the hostel, one of the best of the island. since the pool was under mainteinance, he gave us 20% discount, very honest and we really appreciated it. if you want to explore the island, you can also rent a scooter or organise a tour directly there.
