Metcalf “A clean, quiet, modern, comfortable cottage in a great location”

Just amazing - clean, modern, comfortable, quiet. The views were exceptional - open countryside at the front with a variety of wild animals to be spotted (including actual deer) and a working farm at the rear (cows, chickens, but no noise). The location is brilliant - just off a main road (far enough off so the road noise can't be heard inside and we didn't find at all bothersome outside). Amble is 10 minutes drive away with restaurants, supermarkets and a lovely harbour. Alnwick is 25 minutes and Bamburgh 45 minutes drive north and Tynemouth is 35 minutes south so an excellent base to explore the area. The cottage is walkable/runnable to the coastal path (about 1.5 miles) and Druridge Bay Country Park is about 3 miles away (which has toilets, cafe, lake, fantastic beach). We have an EV and there are several fast 50kw chargers at Amble and slower chargers at Druridge so easy to keep topped up. Overall the property just felt loved and cared for - little touches make a big difference (welcome hamper, a pint of milk in the fridge, handwashes, toilet rolls, cleaning products etc.) and the pillows, mattresses, towels all felt relatively new and good quality. The cottage is semi-detached but we did not hear any noise at all from next door and there is dedicated gated gravelled private parking. The cottage was extremely clean and looked like it had been renovated within the past few years. We would love to return - a great value cottage in a great location in a great area of the country.

Absolutely everything was so, so nice. Cottage was immaculate Everything you needed was there. Fabulous welcome hamper which our (adult kids!) devoured. Would 100% recommend as this is one of the nicest places we have stayed

Fantastic stay at this lovely cottage for the weekend. Very close to barn on the bay wedding venue which was the purpose of our trip. Would love to return and explore the area. Had everything we needed and more. Loved the welcome pack.
