“Great venue for access to Wilpattu NP, attentive hosts, comfortable room & great food.”

Having recently undergone a refurbishment, the property is fine. Our room was adequate for husband, wife & teenage daughter. The bonus of this property is that 1) it is right at the front gate of Wilpattu National Park, so perfect for accessing the safaris and 2) the staff are caring & attentive & helpful in organising the safari. Our evening meal was top class-plenty of food & so tasty.

Really nice family run place, right next to the entrance of the park. It's also next to a lake where we saw elephants at the end of the afternoon. The food cooked by the mom was delicious. The son took us on a safari, he got up an hour early to get the entrance tickets so we could skip the line. We even saw a leopard! Lunch on the safari was also 10/10. All in all a great experience.

What a gorgeous little family run place! They organised the most incredible safari - my guide and I had 15 minutes alone with a leopard, peacefully travelling along the track behind her - we definitely had the best experience of anyone in Wilpattu that day. guya (I’m sure I’ve spelled his name incorrectly!) was so respectful of the park and the animals, always staying on the tracks and keeping a good distance from wildlife. I was really impressed. I can’t recommend Wilpattu Mooklan enough. It’s a very special little place in the jungle, surrounded by bird song, and so close to the park you barely need 5 minutes to be at the entrance at opening time in the morning. Exceptionally clean, and run by the sweetest hosts who can’t do enough for you. Incredible value for money, considering such a remote location. The hosts try so hard to communicate well, and do a great job. Thank you, an experience to remember🙏
