I am very glad that I found this place through Booking. This was my first experience of living on a boat, and it was wonderful! The first thing that impressed me – this boat is very cozy (just like the Netherlands in general). 🙂 It has three floors: the first – cabins, with a bunk bed, a sink, a wardrobe, and a small window almost at the level of the water, so you can wake up and greet the birds that swim up to your cabin. The second – the main, cozy and comfortable space, where you can hang out, read, eat, and also endlessly drink coffee and tea, which are always on the table. And the third, on the roof – a wonderful place with benches and chairs, where you can enjoy the beauty of the canal and relax with a nice view of the old architecture. I am an aesthete, and I love cozy, unusual places that boost creativity and are located within walking distance of the city center, yet still offer a quiet corner of peace. Amicitia completely satisfied this need. Also, I want to note the breakfast, where there is a choice of sweet and savory food – to make a sandwich, granola, or pancakes with jam and chocolate spread. It was the same every day, but enough for strengthening in the morning, simple and tasty. Summing up, I want to thank the sailor for this cool experience, which turned out to be so wonderful that I extended my stay for one more day. This place inspires 🤍 I add several photos that I took on the main floor and on the roof of the boat. I highly recommend Amicitia and I hope to return again.

Cheapest place you could probably get in Amsterdam/Netherlands. Interesting experience, met more locals than tourists however that was all part of the fun. Nice lounging area.
