We had a fabulous stay on Venezia cruise! The beds were super comfortable, food was lovely and the staff were all so kind and helpful - a special shoutout to Tony our tour guide who was brilliant! We loved the kayaking and cooking class activities also

I especially appreciated that we had free time between activities. I didn't feel rushed throughout the schedule. Also, on the second day, we went early to do a bicycle ride. When we were done, lots of tourists were arriving. We were happy to be there early before the crowd. They were very generous with the food. Boat was quiet at night which was nice. The bed was very comfy! A cruise in the Bay is definitely a must.

The Venezia Cruise when to Lan Ha Bay, which is next to Halong Bay (looks the same) but is a little quieter. I have been to both now, and far preferred the Lan Ha Bay experience. The only down side is that Lan Ha takes longer to get to. Halong was a mini-bus ride to the port, get on the boat and off you go. Venezia involved a big bus that picked up loads of people on the way, over 2 hours on the bus including an unnecessary fifteen minute pit stop. Then you get to Cat Ba island and take a (stunning) cable car ride (small extra cost) or speed boat to the island, then another bus to the port. It was very scenic and took a half day, with the overnight cruise starting at the same time as the Halong Bay one, so we didn’t mind. The cabin on the boat was a fabulous surprise. We couldn’t believe how big and well appointed it was, with massive windows to take in the views. Awesome. There are also lots of sunny and shady spots on the boat to sit, so while is is an ugly boat, it was very comfortable. The other travellers were fun and there were lots of chances to chat and swop travel tales. The activities arranged by Venezia were just right - a short and easy cooking class to learn to make fresh spring rolls, kayaking and swimming on the first day and squid fishing at night. Our fave activity was the bike ride to a village on the second day - easy cycle, with option or ride in golf cart instead, then feet in fish pond with fish eating your feet, look around village and ride back. Lovely forest and we loved it. Tohni was very attentive to our needs as were all the staff on the cruise.

This was the most amazing experience. The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is incredible! My son loved the squid fishing and the island visit was fantastic! We have Thang as a guide and he was awesome! Definitely a highlight in Vietnam.
