Meighan “Amazing Schist Village experience!”

A wonderful opportunity to experience the mountains and the Schist villages in central Portugal. The accommodation was authentic and comfortable- our host Gabriel and his lovely Mother were a pleasure to communicate with. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower lovely! We are of average fitness but managed to do the 9km loop walk through the main villages which was absolutely beautiful. The village of Pena is so peaceful and and scenic. I would highly recommend this accommodation and experience- it is an absolutely unique!

The owner of the house was around and it was a great pleasure to have good discussions with the family. The accommodation was fully renovated with lots of details from the region. very nice location.
