I was in Guwahati for 3 nights to spend time exploring Maa Kamakhya temple, but also had to juggle working remotely. When looking for accommodation, I stumbled upon Choudhury Manor and figured why not instead of the typical hotel stay. Internet, check. Big bed, check. Clean spacious room, check. Breakfast, check. Didn't need anything else. True enough, not only did it check all the boxes, the manor felt like home. Quiet, cosy, and welcoming, the manor gave me the space to work and unwind at my own pace. The location of the property is also very accessible by Uber and other modes of transport. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Madhav, who managed the place, was helpful. In my broken Hindi and Madhav's little English, I managed to converse and get whatever I needed. He was also the one who prepared breakfast. His cooking is simple but delicious and wholesome and I ended up ordering lunch and dinner on some days. The owners, Mr and Mrs Kamal Choudhury, went out of their way to support my visit to the temple, even connecting me to someone who could guide me there. Thanks to their kindness, my time with Maa Kamakhya was nothing short of magical. It is all these little things that makes this place a gem instead of a cold hotel room.

The Open Space all over the manor, the king size bedroom, the well maintained washroom, the well ventilated corridors. The great architecture and interiors to sooth your mind, body and soul and relax on the lap of nature and beauty in the mid of hustle city life. The Open Space, Charming Uniquely selected Decor, The Architect which connects you to your root. We have specially selected this property for our pet - Diggy and she kind of loved it. As Diggy is a 6months old puppy, seeing unknown faces, she starts barking. We would like to appologise on her behalf. She has the IQ of a kid so for her its all about her childishness and growing phase. I would like to thank you Mam and Sir, for your warm welcome to us and extending love and care for Pets.
