The location was OK but car parking space was not good for unloading car on arrival in poor weather, No's on key box lock need brightening up.,having a torch is handy on arrival. Cottage facilities are brilliant but bring your reading glasses for instructions

Superb cottage with all required mod cons. Located in a dead end quiet street of the small Gunnerside village. The cottage is very well equipped, and one of the most complete ones I've ever rented. I loved the walk up the Gunners Beck (next to the Cottage) and a bit further the walk along the River Swale to the Kisdon Force. It's easy to park your car on the assigned spots and the internet works fine. I even had mobile phone connection without problems. For winter evenings there is a little wood stove which makes the living room very cozy and warm. The top floor bathroom is almost palatial. The neighbour's chickens are fun in the morning when they come and sit near the kitchen window in the hope they'll get some grains of your muesli.

Ghyll View cottage charming, cosy and comfortable. It’s is very well equipped and modern, and there are clear instructions. I absolutely loved it and I have rebooked for another trip at Easter with my daughters. I enjoyed the surroundings and wanted to stay longer.
