Lovely historic building located in the old town. Staff friendly and helpful with a good breakfast overlooking the garden. Public parking is a 5 min walk away and was €8 for our 2 night stay.

Casa do Juncal is right in the heart of the old town, on the edge of a pretty square. We loved being so close to the main squares and restaurants. In fact you can even walk to the base station of the cable car (up the Penha) in around 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering us early check-in and the option to leave our cases for a couple of hours after check-out. The room itself was modern and spacious with quirky stairs leading up to the bedroom on a mezzanine.
