- David is very friendly, makes your stay comfortable and has lots of information about the area. - Unlimited bottles of water. - No fridge in the room but could store our stuff in the fridge downstairs. - Very very hot water in the shower, although not that powerful. - Quiet and spacious rooms. - On a street with not much going on but is a 10 min walk from Guilin station.

Staying at the Lakeside inn was lovely. David was such a nice helpful guide, and really cared about the guests at the hotel. Overall a wonderful person. He was so helpful with the planning of my stay as well as picking me up from the train station. One morning when I woke up there was a bag of fruits as a gift outside my door. So sweet. The room was nice and tidy with a great view over the canal. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely owners and the restaurant owner at the bottom was such a lovely guy who was happy to help and give me tips on what to do whilst I was in Guilin.

This hotel was just a short 1-night stay for us. It was nice we could still check in late. The bed was ok!
