The hosts were brilliant. We turned up a few minutes after booking and they had heaters on and were ready and waiting for us. We spoke school girl French very badly but the hostess was a confident English speaker. She made us feel very welcome and was able to make great recommendations as to restaurants etc. Breakfast was delicious. It was served buffet style in a breakfast room within the family home. No one hovered over us but the hostess did pop in a couple of times to make sure we had everything.

Our room was really spacious as was the en suite bathroom, the beds were very comfortable and the location was very quiet snd peaceful. The dining area and kitchen space was a useful thing to have and we appreciated being able to use the fridge and make hot drinks. The microwave was also good to have. There was plenty of free secure parking and the outside space was really attractive. The breakfast room was cosy and well stocked. We chose to eat breakfast next door in the dining area outside our room, as we had dogs with us, it was easy to collect things from the breakfast room and only a few metres walk back to the seating area in the dining space and this was perfect for us. The dining area was well stocked with brochures of things to do and it was easy to find places that looked good to visit. Michelle has a wall dedicated to soldiers who fought on the Somme and visitors could put information about their ancestors here. It was a poignant but lovely thing to see

The location is super quiet, in a small village. The property itself has a huge and beautiful garden with a trampoline and small playground for kids. The chalet was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, and there trays to allow us to bring the food back to our chalet. The hosts are very friendly and forthcoming, and we were able to bring our dog. There is also a hot tub available for those that wish to use that service, for a fee.
