A lovely little gem of a hotel. Everything about it was lovely and the staff were exceptional, probably because they were running their own hotel. We had lunch out and a glass of wine with charcuterie provided by the hotel in the garden in the evening. Breakfast was lovely and our dog was made very welcome.

Beautiful building and rooms with internal patio. Excellent hosts. A 10 mins walk to the beach. Close to a road but still very quiet. Very good breakfast. A small park neaby for the dog.

Comfortable room in an interestingly converted school within easy walking distance of a great choice of restaurants. Secure bike storage in courtyard. Breakfast with wide ranging choice at an extra cost

The location, and hotel itself are lovely but the staff take it to another level. So kind, warm, and welcoming. We travel twice per year between Portugal and France and it’s a delight to break up the journey at Hotel Balea. It meant a lot that the staff recognised us, too.
