Timur “Delightful Stay in the Heart of Tuscany”

We stayed for a week in February as a couple with two school-aged children and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was very comfortable and perfectly situated for our needs. The location in Grosseto couldn't be better for people such as us, who do not have a car: within the city walls, with excellent access to public transportation. We arrived by direct train from Rome, departed on a direct train to Florence, and even made a day trip by express bus to Siena without any hassle. We used the apartment as a base for outdoor activities, including birdwatching in the coastal marshes and bike riding in the Maremma park (we rented bikes for the day in Albarese). The short walk to a supermarket and a fully-equipped kitchen made it very easy to shop and prepare our own meals when we wanted. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Though the apartment overlooks a lively square, the windows are extremely well soundproofed. Even on Saturday night, the busiest night of the week, the music and chatter outside was reduced to a low murmur indoors, and we fell asleep with ease. Our host Barbara was exceptionally hospitable, providing many helpful recommendations and promptly addressing any small issues we encountered. Highly recommend!

We were 3 persons. Apartment well renovated, maybe a little small (small kitchen/living room, bedrooms ok, toilet/bathroom ok). HVAC efficient (it helps also during night if outside noise is too loud: you close the windows and sleep well). Location is nice, inside the walls of the old town, where you can find cocktail bars, local restaurants nearby, etc. We chose Grosseto as a starting point for visiting few places around Toscana by car (such as Monte Argentario, Isola D'Elba, Terme di Saturnia), and this place suited good for this purpose.

Airconditions in all rooms. She meet us to deliver keys and fast responding. You had all you needed and it was clean.

Loved the location of this apartment. Being inside the walled town let us easily explore all the wonderful things about Grosetto. We easily walked to the grocery store and walked to a wonderful restaurant (Artidoro!). The bathroom was spacious and the water pressure was fantastic. The host was fantastic. For example, when no taxi was available to take us back to the train station, she grabbed her car an drove us herself.
