In the centre of town. Ski hire underneath the apartment with a 20% discount for Bernerhof guests. Bus stop just outside in both directions for either ski area. Balcony view of the Eiger. Comfy beds. Clean. Warm. Ski storage at bottom of stairs. Lovely welcome from the staff. I really don't know what more you can ask for.

Best location in town - with the most amazing views of the mountains. Perfect size of apartment for our family of five to spend a special Christmas week in Grindelwald. Super comfortable beds, warm and cosy and great kitchen for cooking meals for the family. So easy to walk to Grindelwald first gondola and easy to catch bus to the terminal to other ski areas. Friendly ski hire team down stairs as well. Super easy to get to and we had a car so the parking beside the building was a bonus.

The reception and hotel in charge were very kind, receptive and helpful when we needed more toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. We loved the fact that is had 3 rooms , a living room, kitchen, dining area, desk, patio was excellent for a family. The kitchen is fully equipped with toaster, hot kettle, microwave oven, all types of cutlery/kitchenware. Can cook whatever you desire. Has nespresso type coffee machine (we didn't use), dishwasher, heavy duty trash bags, and a 6 seater dinner table. Large refrigerator and freezer more than enough room. Beds were super comfortable with very cushiony blankets and pillows. Has laundry washing machine and dryer (cannot use after 10pm). Magnificent view of Eiger and other mountains from back patio can be enjoyed with the chairs and table there. In morning, mountain tops are pinkish then golden hue. Unobstructed view of Eiger and other mountains as well. Very close to First Gondola (2 mins). There is a bar nearby but did not notice any noise at night (maybe we were too tired to hear). There is even a small desk in a small enclave you can use if you need to do some work or use your laptop. Don't miss the historic paintings of Grindelwald on the walls in the master bedroom. I think it would be hard to find a unit like this so close to the town/train station. Managed by the Bernerhof Hotel so well kept and maintained.
