Lovely secluded location. Charming big rooms and the staff was very friendly. There is a mini honesty bar in the communal area but apart from that, there are no other food or drink options. Best to plan ahead and bring some snacks/drinks with you to enjoy in the garden or near the pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed when we went - I reckon it opens in May - so double check with the property first. Many people point out the drive as something they didn’t enjoy about the property but it really is fine and I had no issues with the VW Golf I rented. Worth it for the location!

The rooms are incredible — everything restored and preserved with so much love and attention to detail. Not worn down at all, and very clean. That’s quite an achievement with a historic building like this. Jamille gave us wonderful tips about the heart of Chianti, and breakfast even included homemade cake.

Attentive staff, nice remote location, good continental breakfast. Beds were comfty, view was amazing.
