The Peacock was exactly what we expected . It is an historic hotel with a long history. The building is old ,well maintained and finely fitted out. The quality of our room, the public rooms and public areas was as high as expected. The bar and restaurant are excellent and the food and drink of a high standard. The staff were efficient and friendly

Decor was outstanding, very clean. You could tell that everyone that works at the hotel takes pride in their area of responsibility and that was reflected by the high quality and standards throughout.

We had a wonderful experience staying at The Peacock for two nights. Our stay exceeded our expectations in so many ways - we had a large, lovely, clean and comfortable room and all the staff we met were utterly delightful. The hotel is small which we loved. The hotel had the feel that we were staying at a friend's very smart house which we loved. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on. Excellent air conditioning! We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant - excellent food, drinks and hospitality.
