What did I love about this place? In one word - EVERYTHING. This is the only place you need to stay in Graz. Don't be tempted by the city centre hotels. Ferienwohnung Christa represents sensational value for money. The entire apartment is spotless. It's like you are the first person who has ever stayed there; it's fresh, new and clean. Everything has been so tastefully and cleverly thought out. The functional kitchen, the smart-use-of-space bathroom (which includes a washing machine), the beautifully colour co-ordinated furnishings, the comfortable furniture. It was a dream to stay here. The location is great. Whilst it may not be smack bang in the middle of the city in Graz, it is very conveniently located. Only a 5 minute walk to the tram stop and in a matter of minutes you are in the centre. Trams are every 10 minutes so you are never waiting really. Meanwhile, the apartment which is located in Liebenau is also very handy for things like the Stadthalle (Civic Centre), Messe Graz (Exhibition Centre), the Murpark shopping centre (great retail and food), supermarkets - three within walking distance, the Merkur Arena if you're into sport and if you swing around the corner you can have some pleasant local walks. It's a really nice area. You can buy 24 hour tram tickets or the Graz card (1/2/3 days) which includes the public transport as well as a lot of the attractions. Then at the end of the day you return to the sweet pink house and relax in the apartment. Contrary to some reviews, the apartment is quiet. There may be some short peak hour traffic but it cannot be heard with the excellent double glazed windows. We had our bedroom window open at night and me being a light sleeper, never heard a thing come morning. And if that isn't enough... you will be greeted by the friendliest and kindest of hosts when you first arrive who will be happy to offer any advice or help. There is also free parking on-site. This is Graz's hidden gem!
