The fine print
The property is closed everyday between 15:00- 17:00 Monday to Friday.Please note that the guest entrance is separate to the Pub Restaurant Entrance with a separate lock/keys as for the premises being closed Monday to Friday between 15:00 and 17:00. This enables the guests to come and go at any time. If the guest telephones the administration, they can arrange to leave the keys in the allocated room during this period.Managed by a private host

Nice clean and well decorated room, the only thing letting the accommodation down slightly was the rather manky mat outside the shower cubicle. The staff were all outstanding, all friendly, chatty and helpful. The pub is an absolute gem, exactly how a traditional boozer should be, and as for the grub, WOW ! We live on the coast, so know a thing or two about fresh fish n chips, but we've rarely had fish n chips as good as this pub serves. We were attending a heavy metal gig at St Margaret's church which is literally a 1 minute walk from the pub. If we're ever in need of accommodation in there area again , we'll definitely stay here. If your a fan of traditional boozers, The Darnley Arms is slightly out in the sticks but absolutely worth a visit.

We travelled down to Kent from Burton on Trent and we booked this stay as a last minute and it is one of the best places we have stayed in the UK. The landlord and Landlady gave us a warm welcoming and came out of their way to talk to us and ask if all was ok with the room and if there was anything we needed, the community in the pub itself were really welcoming. The cleanliness of the pub and the rooms were absolutely outstanding, the beds are comfy and we will definitely return. Thank you !
