Absolutely beautiful stone property remodelled tastefully with an eye for detail. Beautiful courtyard and garden. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

We came across this beautiful pension when we were looking for a place which is the closest to Serra da Estrela. The host gave us a warm welcome and our expectations were exceeded after arriving at this beautiful and lovely Quinta. Every detail about the interior in the entire pension made us feel cozy and welcoming there. We really enjoyed our stay there and the host was such a lovely and friendly local who really tries everything to make her guests feel like home. Every single morning she provided us with an enriched best breakfast buffet and the food was always fresh and clean. She didn't hesitate a single bit about being asked for anything and she even made the effort to store my birthday cake in her own fridge which we brought with us all the way to our destination. She even got out of her way to arrange with me and my fiancé a little birthday breakfast with our cake. We can't thank her enough for her support and help during our entire stay. We both really enjoyed our chats with her and we also appreciate her own recommendations about some places very much which turned out to be hidden local gems to us. We both really enjoyed our stay in that Quinta and we really highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Serra da Estrela.

A lovely fresh variety of food and drinks, including some locally sourced cheese, fruits, jam and bread for the breakfast spread. The cleanliness was amazing, especially as my family have allergies, this was clean to perfection. The rooms were spacious with very modern (as newly renovated) and new touches eg. aircon, tv, wifi, great shower, big comfy beds. The family running the business went out of their way with generosity, attention and information, while also balanced with all the privacy we wanted. The main host is native English speaking, so with our embarrassingly bad Portuguese, this was a massive relief and asset. The location of hotel is in the heart of Gouveia city, so we were close to all restaurants and tourist attractions and only a short walk from the coach station back to Porto airport.
