Anvil Lodge is set in a lovely quiet village, though so quiet my 14 year old son and I didn't even want to venture to the local pub for a meal. The main reason for our stay was to take our pups who are just one and get them out of the city. There were some lovely walks around the village which are quite achievable. We had a day to the coast, and the rain stayed off for us mostly. The cottage itself was perfect for us, though the dog beds didn't really have anywhere to go, our dogs are big, so they were a little awkward to manoeuvre around. The shower was fabulous, everywhere clean and tidy. A gift awaited us on arrival and a garage full of goodies to entertain us. The garden was great to let the dogs run off some steam.
