Beautiful property very well located, walking distance to the sunrise and sunset view points, as well as a short walk down the hill to the restaurants, bars and shops. The hot air balloons often come right over the property and they have nice verandahs to view them from. The staff are very kind and helpful.

We booked 2 standard rooms for our stay (parents, son and partner) and hotel staff were able to accommodate our request to have rooms close to one another. The rooms are simple which suited us - and it took me a day to realise there were no windows in our room - probably due to being preoccupied by the surrounding environment which is so incredible! Standing on terrace in front of our room door was a great vantage point to the amazing sights. Comfy bed and altho no hot water available when we first arrived, it was OK the next day. Asteria is well located in Goreme - close to downtown restaurants and shops - although there are also places closer by. And its aspect gave us a fantastic view of the early morning balloon rides. Also it is a 10 minute or so walk uphill to watch the balloons take off. Just get there before sun up. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast a simple but adequate offering. We would happily choose to stay here again plus recommend to friends. Thank you for a lovely friendly stay.
