The hotel is beautiful, breakfast is wonderful. It is lovated in a beautiful village 2 minutes away from Appenzell. The staff is very friendly and helpful .

The room is quite modern and super comfortable. Breakfeast quite complete and with plenty of local food. Gonten is a tiny and charming small town, nice landscapes around.

A unique sleeping experience in this wooden knitted structure. The recovery factor is high, so you need one or two hours less sleep. So more time for cigars in the Schmitte :-).
