In a short trip to Gokarna with friends we stayed at Hanchina Mane. It is around 18 kms from Gokarna town. Commuting to the beaches and back to the property can be bit challenging specially at night. But the property itself is nice ,set among beautiful fruit bearing trees, flowering shrubs and ducks!! Food has to be preordered but a bit expensive. Our stay in a 2 double bedded room was pleasant. The owner is a nice person who helps with arranging transport to the town or nearby sights should you require it. In short, good for tourists with their own transport. In a weird incident my friends clothes were stolen by guests staying in the next door cottage. Although the owner called up the guest Rajesh of Hasan but he refused to return the clothes.
