Lovely cosy cottage, by that I mean it was warm when we arrived (Feb). Got all the facilities you could need. Kitchen:- induction hob, single fan oven/grill, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, and sufficient utensils/pots/pans. The only thing that caught me out was the hot tap in the kitchen turned the wrong way! 3 floors to the cottage with the twin bedroom at the top. Excellent beds and storage. Very clean. The bathroom had a bath and a separate shower and great views of sheep on the horizon! So peaceful. Parking for 2 cars behind the cottage. Lounge was spacious and comfortable with optional log burner if required (logs etc supplied), although there was central heating throughout so didn't really need it. Excellent location for Goathland and only 20 mins to Whitby.. There's a route/walkbehind the cottage on the old railway line, that takes you into the village and the NYM railway where you can get a steam train to Grosmont and Whitby. Couldn't fault it!

Everything I needed was available. Thoughtful items left to welcome me when I arrived. Lovely area. Very peaceful, despite being on a working farm. I enjoyed watching the wandering sheep, rabbits and birds. Close to the beautiful village of Goathland and a great location for hiking. Within easy reach of many local attractions.
