Positive Points:- Great Location in city centre Easy hassle free check-in Well equipped kitchen (washer a bonus) Comfy bed Negative Points:- Seagulls roosting and calling on windowsills and the flat roof of building next door, the noise kept us awake every night, it's so loud and relentless! Room 7 was not clean on arrival Dust on lots of surfaces Cigarette tab and ash in tower room Room smelt of stale smoke No signal on TV so was unable to use at all Windows very draughty even with secondary glazing Heating works well but took 3hrs to get to an acceptable temperature on arrival Shower has weak flow Water in shower too hot, adjusting temperature dial made no difference, unable to have a shower it's just too hot to stand under for more than a few seconds Bathroom sink doesn't drain properly sink fills quickly and takes a long time to drain away when tap is running No working extractor fan in bathroom or window for ventilation Needs a lot of TLC, walls need touching up with paint, a few items have broken parts such as pedal bin, bedside tables, clothes airer, ironing board, curled up rug in living room (trip hazard) Nowhere to hang towels in bathroom, no hooks or rails Nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom no cupboard, no surfaces for wash bags, toiletry bags etc Lots of homeless and street beggers just outside the property and in the surrounding shops and doorways, didn't intimidate us but I can imagine it would for a lot of people! What you need to know information is very brief, could have information about local area, how to use white goods, or point you to the complimentary dishwasher and water tabs in the kitchen cupboard that we didn't see until we had bought some! Not sure how this place scores so highly on reviews......
