Staff was great, really friendly and hardworking. View from the balcony during breakfast is amazing (but it can be hot in the sun, even in the morning). Beds were comfortable, and we had a private bathroom which was nice. Lovely house with a rich history.

Absolutely amazing place. Family's connection to the building and the original decorations passed over through generations made us feel as if we are staying in a museum. The view is spectacular. The hosts were amazing and helpful at every step. They provided guidance on how to reach the accomodation, restaurant recommendations and shared tips on how to navigate the town. The breakfast was fabulous, limitless coffee available to drink at the terrace with the view of the castle. The rooms were super comfortable and spotless. A unique experience in the heart of Gijrokaster.

Staying at Ada, the Ottoman heritage family house in Gjirokastër was like walking into a living museum. The architecture is absolutely stunning — from the carved wood ceilings to the stone walls and traditional furnishings, every detail reflects the rich history of this beautiful family that Ada shared with us. The views from the wimdows and terrace were breathtaking, especially at sunset over the castle, mountains, and old town. Our host Ada was incredibly warm and welcoming, offering local tips and a delicious homemade breakfast with regional specialties. The location was the best from all — just a short walk to the castle, bazaar, and charming cafés. We were on the top of the town. If you're visiting Gjirokastër, don’t miss the chance to experience real Albanian hospitality in such a special historic home. It’s not just a place to stay — it’s a memory to cherish. Beautiful period and original house in Gjirokaster. Excellent stay for a traditional and fitting stay in Gjirokaster. Gorgeous property and lovely staff. The breakfast was all freshly and handmade. Absolutely stunning views of the castle and the mountain.
