The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — it truly felt like being at my grandmother’s house. They treated us to local sweets and coffee. The building was traditional and perfectly located right in the heart of the town.

Beautiful spot to sit and read by the window over looking the mountain by day and the street scape by night. I was welcomed in and treated like family. It was beautiful to come home after a walk to smiles and the family going about their day. Beds were comfortable and I slept well!

Me and my husband stayed at Eva guesthouse for 1 night and we had a wonderful experience. Our host were an elderly couple who were very welcoming and they also served us an orange sweet dish. We were amazed by their lovely gesture. The house was traditional and spotless and it is very close to the main bazaar. We highly recommend staying here if you plan your visit to Gjirokaster!

Eva, the host, is such a fantastic lady! You can feel the pleasure she has to have someone in her house and show the premises. You feel like family, truly welcomed. You actually share the bathroom with just one more room, and it's always clean. You can use the kitchen either to store stuff on the fridge or to cook something simple. The best feature is that the location is just perfect, you are a few steps from the centre of action, restaurants, shops and the castle, on a city which is very steep and other locations would be miserable.
