we had a very friendly welcome at this auberge in a pretty Swiss village. One of our party was vegan and the chef kindly offered some suitable suggestions for dinner. This was an older building so was naturally not as swish as more modern hotels, but was fine for an overnight stop.

Extremely nice and friendly staff, surprisingly great food in a hotel restaurant (the venue is located in a small village), outside terrace and softest mattress possible (if you love them soft you will be on cloud 9). It´s people that make or break your hotel experience, not furniture - so even kind of humbly appearing venue at a first sight can make your stay worth of ***** ritzy experience. And the people in this hotel are amazing and you do feel welcome and appreciated. If I have an opportunity in future to come to this Swiss region again I will definitely pick Auberge Communale à l'Union again, without hesitation!
