I had an excellent stay at Captain Coconuts in Gili Air. The hotel truly feels like an oasis of tranquility. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the entire team is incredibly kind and gentle. The pool at the center of the property is idyllic — swimming there while frangipani flowers fall from the surrounding trees feels almost magical. It’s the kind of place where it’s very easy to slow down and fully relax. What really shows the level of hospitality, though, is how they handle things when something goes wrong. After checking out and traveling to another island, I realized I had left behind my necessaire with all my makeup, creams, and jewelry. The team immediately stepped in to help. They quickly organized for it to be sent on the next boat, and only a few hours after realizing what had happened I had everything back with me. A special thanks to the crew who made this possible — Rizal from housekeeping who retrieved my bag, and Indra from reception who carefully packaged it and sent it over. It was truly a team effort between housekeeping and the front of house, and I’m very grateful. A beautiful place with genuine care and hospitality. I would happily stay here again.

This place is beautiful, calm and unique. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool was great. The accommodation was lovely and light. We stayed in a number of places on gili air, some very high end, and Captain coconuts was by far and away the best. There’s loads of space, some games, they’ve got a lovely menu and good coffee. If we ever come back to Gili we will be heading for here! in fact, if we ever come back to Gili it’ll probably be especially to come to Captain Coconuts! Thank you.

I had a private room which was lovely, tea/coffee/water available in the room, shampoo/shower gel too. Very clean & the staff were exceptional, very helpful & friendly. A nice choice of breakfast & the hostel is located right near the beach/shops/restaurants etc. & has a beautiful pool area. I would definitely recommend a stay here

I initially booked for one week, but ended up staying five weeks, that says it all! Captain Coconut is a little paradise in Gili Air. The atmosphere is peaceful, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool that makes you feel immedietly relaxed. Sleeping in an outdoor suspended bed and waking up to the sound of birds and sunrise was such a unique experience! The beds are made every day, and the sheets always smelled amazing. Another highlight was the breakfast, always delicious! But what made my stay extra special were the people. The staff are wonderful, professional, and warm. It felt like being part of a family, which made it very hard to leave. I am looking forward to return one day :) If you’re coming to Gili Air, I can’t recommend Captain Coconut enough!
