View across fields to Skiddaw from terrace which had table and chairs Walks across fields to beautiful views of Bassenthwaite lake , Skiddaw and Buttermere fells. Not far from A road which was busy at times, otherwise location was quiet.

Amazing views in a peaceful location with great access to everything we could need. Within short driving we found some great places to explore and find out more about the local area. The cafe just up the way was also a great find.

Lovely lodge in quiet location . Fantastic view across a field of sheep to the hills and mountains. Not far from a main road but never heard it when patio doors closed . Good base to use to explore the lake district .. Our dogs enjoyed it more than us i think ...

Very well appointed, Very cosy and comfortable. As a disabled person it was totally accessible. Wonderful situation with rural views across to mountains. Within easy reach of the wonders of the lake District and the Scottish Borders. Very helpful owners. Hope to go there again soon.
