When travelling to this accommodation by car, please inform the owner on forehand, so they can make sure that the area is accessible. The area 'Tolhuis' is accessible from the highway (R40) via the access roads Tolhuislaan or Doornzelestraat. We selected this hotel because we wanted to be in the heart of the old center city. It was a nice hotel and in the summer it offers a small inner courtyard with a pool . It was central to the areas we were interested in. The room was technically oriented to the river - and you could see the river - but it was a stretch. It was the attic... so that was a bit of a disappointment but there was a larger group there so we may not have been able to negotiate for a better view - so we simply stayed out.

Fantastic canal-side location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with excellent facilities (the Japanese bidet toilet was a personal highlight) and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while (the freshly cooked waffles are amazing)

A small but lovely hotel. Great location. Really nice breakfast. Beautiful room with a view. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
