The fine print
Please note much of the castle is still privately owned. Unfortunately not all facilities are accessible to the public.The Michelin-star Werners restaurant is open between 18:30 and 22:00 from Wednesdays to Sundays. On Sundays it is also open between 12:30 and 14:00.Please note that between January and March each year, the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Breakfast is available every morning, but no other meals are available.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

We were given a delightful suite overlooking the courtyard with everything we could need (although strangely only one water glass but that was not a problem). We were there on a Thursday night and so enjoyed the very tasty barbecue on the terrace overlooking the Black Forest. Ordered the castle's white wine - really dry, fresh, long and fragrant and just right for the occasion. Plenty of walks in the area, clearly signed,. And no 'music'!

Wonderful views from the property of the local town and hills of the Black Forest. The highlight of our one night stay was dinner on the terrace of Werner’s restaurant.
