The location was great … closeby the sea …in the middle of nowhere …. Ideal for the ferry to/from NovaScotia ( 30min drive)

Our Anne of Green Gables room under the eaves was small (as we expected) and very comfortable. Great mattress. Fabulous stair hall wallpaper. We liked having an interesting and comfortable place to stay in this part of PEI. And the people were lovely.

We (my husband and I in one room, my sister in another) chose this hotel for our first two nights on PEI after learning of the historic status of the building, of the emphasis on flower and vegetable gardens (growing some of what is served) and the comparative proximity to the Woods Island arrival point for the ferry from Caribou. It proved a good base for our exploring the Eastern part of PEI (King County), and the hosts, Chelsea and Bob, were very friendly and helpful (as was the dining room staff). The beds were comfortable, the rooms each well-furnished and distinctive, in beautifully painted pastel colors. The shared back balconies (one on each of the two upper floors) with a view of the harbor (in years past, VERY busy, we learned) proved a pleasant place for a relaxing before-dinner meet-up of our all-adult group. We were glad that a hot breakfast was included. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant the night we ate there (that of course paid extra).

Bob is a great host and the staff was really nice. The room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel itself is lovely and there is great attention to detail. Overall, I would definetely recommend.
