The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. It's always my first choice of stay in George Town. Located at a quiet neighbourhood, with free parking. Clean bed sheets and fresh smelling towel.

I recently stayed at The Journey Hotel, Penang, and was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. From the moment I checked in, I noticed how spotless the lobby and public areas were. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the check-in process was smooth. The room was modern, minimalistic and very clean. The bed sheets and towels were fresh, and the bathroom was sparkling. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in housekeeping, everything was in place and the room smelled pleasant and well-aired. The shower had good water pressure and hot water, and toiletries were provided. Although the room is compact, it is very functional and well-maintained. The hotel provides basic amenities such as a kettle, hair dryer and bottled water. Wi-Fi was stable and fast and making it easy for me to get work done. The location is also convenient, just a short drive to George Town and nearby food spots. Parking is limited but manageable if you arrive early. Overall, The Journey Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a clean, quiet, and affordable place to stay in Penang. I would definitely return and recommend it to others!

The location is strategic and walking distance to famous eateries, the price point, the service and hospitality from the staff especially the front office staff, she is very professional and attentive. Clean room and bathroom. Clean linens and towels. And they have their own private area too.
