The fine print
From 1 January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night applies to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian ID or valid permanent resident MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that a Local Council fee of MYR 3 will be charged per room per night and is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.Please note that pets are not allowed at St Giles Wembley Penang.Please note that the St Giles Wembley Penang Hotel, Penang, has a water dispenser installed on every floor. Therefore, bottled water is no longer provided inside the rooms except in the executive category. Two bottles of RO water are complimentary daily in the Executive Superior, Executive Deluxe, and Suite Rooms.Please note that the full amount of the reservation is due before arrival. will send a confirmation with detailed payment information. After full payment is taken, the property's details, including the address and where to collect keys, will be emailed to you.

Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent - hence we forgot to remove the do not disturb sign - the staff asked us upon our return in the afternoon if they are allowed to clear the room. Well behaved and well manured. Excellent service. BF buffet is huge compared to other locations and has a big variety. It wasn't my first stay and we surely return if we go back to Penang.

The location is very centralized. Hin Bus Depot is within walking distance. So are many shops and cafes. The room is spacious. The front desk staff are pleasant and helpful. I liked the iced nutmeg juice that was available for free at the lobby.

Comfortable room and bed. Quality linen and towels. Bathroom is clean too. Great options for breakfast (love the taufufa). As it is in the city, it is near to almost everything (shopping and necessities) but a bit of traffic particularly in the morning (peak hours weekdays).
