The fine print
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that a Penang Heritage Tax applies and is not included in the rates. Rates are MYR 2 per room per night, MYR 0.50 per person per night (dormitory). This is to be paid upon check in
For bookings of 5 rooms or more, please note that a prepayment deposit of 50% of the total charges is required upon arrival.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Spend just one night as we were passing by Penang, so I didn't have the chance to use the swimming pool or hang around the adorable hostel. The location is great, very convenient for bus/van stops if you're planning to continue your trip to Thailand or Singapur or if you want to enjoy the city. The hosts are super friendly. There is an elevator, the rooms are spacious and with A/C, you get complimentary stuff. Great value overall!
