Tom “A wonderful villa we keep coming back to”

We stayed at this villa for the third time, and once again it was fantastic. Back in 2023, when we searched for a place, we chose this villa based on photos and reviews. At the time we had some doubts, mainly due to the Google Maps photo view – but don’t let that put you off! As soon as we arrived, we knew those worries were unnecessary. The villa is beautiful, spacious and very well maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It’s perfect for our family of six, and the location is ideal: perched on a hill with lovely views of both the mountains and the sea. It’s peaceful and quiet, away from Gennadi village buzz, yet just a 15 min walk to the tavernas and shops. Although we’ve never met the owner in person, communication has always been helpful and caring, making us feel genuinely welcome. Last year there were some minor issues with internet (mobile networks on Rhodes can be hit or miss), but this year the villa has fast Starlink internet. So if you really need to work during your holiday, you’ll be fine here too! Gennadi and the area are becoming more popular – there are new shops, restaurants and a few houses being built near the villa. But don’t worry: these don’t block the views, and judging by the local pace of construction, they likely won’t be finished anytime soon. And if you stay here, be ready to meet the beautiful nature of Rhodes – at dusk you’re almost certain to see the famous Rhodian deer, often in small groups, and if you’re lucky, even an entire large herd wandering around the villa. It’s truly magical. If you’re planning to explore Rhodes by rental car (which I highly recommend, as there’s so much more to see beyond Rhodes Old Town and Faliraki), South Rhodes, Gennadi village and Villa Mamma-Mia are a perfect base for family or friends. This villa has become our go-to place in Rhodes, and we can’t wait to return again.

Beautiful setting and very private and peaceful. The pool was brilliant and plenty of areas to relax.

The house is in a peaceful location but in easy walking distance of the village. The local village has a good set of useful local shops (supermarket, pharmacy etc) and a couple of really lovely restaurants. It is easy to walk to the beach too. We even had small herds of deer pass by the property in the evenings.

Villa Mamma Mia is set in a very peaceful location about 10 mins walk from Gennadi village. My husband and I stayed in the villa 2 years ago and have just enjoyed our second visit. The villa is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. We especially like the privacy and peace and quiet as the villa is not overlooked. It is an ideal place to relax and completely chill out! The restaurants in the village are very good, but if you want something different, then Pefkos and Lindos are served by a good bus servive if you prefer not to drive. Hope to return in 2026!
