Location wise it was pretty perfect! Quick tuk tuk or scooter ride to cloud 9 and all the other surf spots.

I stayed in the private rooms and it was one of the very few places in the philippines that had no mold in the aircon nor anywhere else in the room. Comfy bed and well renovated bathroom.

I stayed at Sunlit for 1,5 weeks and had a great time! I extended my stay once. I stayed in a dorm but my friends (a couple) stayed in a private room. The dorm beds were nice. I enjoyed having a privacy curtain, a small shelf and a plug next to my bed, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were super friendly and actively invited people to the hostel's events (family dinner, pool party, pingpong tournament - all really fun!). I also appreciated that whilst the hostel has a social vibe, it's very chill and not a party hostel. It always got quiet around 10 PM but you can definitely find people to go out with. This is a good place for those who enjoy the social aspect of hostels but also appreciate a good night sleep haha! The pool was super nice and upstairs they had a hangout area, which was nice for chilling, getting work done, and playing different games. They also have a bar upstairs that serves beer (it closes at 10 PM too). There's also a common kitchen and free drinking water available. They have scooter rentals at a fair price as well. The location is tucked away from the main spots which is nice because of the quiet, but it's not very walkable. However, I would recommend renting a scooter in Siargao anyway since it makes it much easier to get around, but there are tuktuks available at a super cheap price just outside the hostel if you can't drive. I do think the location is great if you have a scooter :)
