We just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay at Family House Gata in Croatia, and I cannot recommend this property highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The outdoor amenities were the highlight of our stay. The pool area was pristine and beautifully maintained, providing endless hours of relaxation for the adults and fun for our children. The play facilities kept the kids entertained throughout our visit, making this truly a family-friendly destination. But what really took our breath away was the stunning view - simply outstanding and worth the stay alone! Waking up to such beautiful Croatian scenery each morning was magical. One of the most delightful surprises was the fresh fig trees on the property. Our kids had such joy picking fresh figs for their breakfast each morning - it became a cherished daily ritual and created memories we’ll treasure forever. The property also features fresh herb gardens that we were welcome to use in our cooking, adding an authentic local touch to our meals. The host deserves special recognition for being incredibly responsive and attentive. They were always available when we needed anything and truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The location strikes the perfect balance - peaceful and quiet for relaxation, yet conveniently positioned for exploring the region. We easily accessed Omiš and Split for day trips, making it an ideal base for discovering the Croatian coast. Parking was never an issue with ample space available. A wonderful bonus was the traditional Croatian restaurant, Kanobo Arja, within walking distance. The authentic local cuisine there was exceptional and added to our Croatian experience. Family House Gata exceeded all our expectations. It’s rare to find a property that combines such beautiful natural settings, excellent amenities, thoughtful touches like the fruit trees and herbs, and genuinely caring hospitality.

In a beautiful setting, garden and pool with mountains in the background with a lovely view down to the coast. Garden and pool extremely well kept, sheltered shady area with outdoor table and chairs to eat/ relax. Additional comfy swing chairs were a favourite for our kids. The apartment was lovely and clean, with a well stocked kitchen, oven, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher etc to make preparing any meals easy. The owner had also provided a couple of chilled drinks in the fridge for when we arrived which was appreciated. Three spacious bedrooms with comfy beds. The host was great at communicating with us prior to our trip to check arrival time etc and we couldn’t have asked for a kinder host.

We were warmly welcomed. The host was really very attentive and made every effort to ensure our comfort. Throughout our stay, we were frequently gifted with fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. So kind! The location of the house is outstanding. Just 10 minutes from Omiš, beautifully situated in the mountains with a fantastic view. The apartment was very well-equipped and spotlessly clean. We lacked nothing. We loved sitting in the shade under the grapevine or enjoying the wonderful pool or cuddle the cats. 🙂 A very beautiful spot where you can truly relax. Thank you for everthing Mislav & family 🙂

Amazing location in mountains with view on the sea. Away from crowded places but in the same time very close to the beach (about 10min drive). We had big private pool. Very clean house, well equipped and the host is an amazing and very kind person. Always ready to help when we needed him but also we had full privacy. Overall I really reccomend it to everyone.
