Beautiful garden to relax in beside the pool. Breakfast was served in the garden and welcome pot of tea. The accommodation was quiet, bed was comfortable, excellent location and large breakfast.

Delicious. For western breakfast, it would be good to have a wider selection of preserves to put on toast (eg 2 or 3 jams including locally made mango jam, honey, peanut butter). I enjoyed the rotti with sambal, and pancake with spicy tomato relish, but would have also enjoyed a more Sri Lankan brakfat with some curry or hoppas. Perhaps you could offer a choice of western or sri lankan breakfast.

A well-restored Dutch colonial house in the centre of the old Fort area. Beautiful period furniture, works of art and all sorts of artefacts adorn the rooms and mature, tropical garden which feels like a rainforest. There are giant bamboos, trees, gorgeous flowers and luscious greenery everywhere. Pure tranquility prevails as soon as one enters, leaving the bustling streets behind. With only four rooms, one is made to feel truly at home. Nothing is too much to ask for. Breakfast is delicious, fresh, sumptuous.

The quaintness of the building, the location, beautiful gardens and outdoor areas for lounging and dreaming of a bygone era. And a great swimming pool.
