Wonderful town hotel with bedrooms on first floor and rooftop restaurant. Smaller rooms with little windows but shared balcony with chairs and seat hammocks in front of the room. Excellent for a break from the hot city! Very good breakfast, real cappuccino, and very helpful staff! Perfect view onto city wall with park, excellent location (well, the Fort is small anyway).

Fabulous location overlooking the green and ocean on the corner of the prettiest street with lots of beautiful shops to browse and nice places to eat. Nice balcony to sit and watch the world go by and quirky hanging chairs to relax in. The four poster bed with mosquito net was lovely and the bathroom large and shower hot. Delicious breakfast served on the rooftop to continue enjoying the wonderful view.

The staff is very welcoming and has been attentive to our requests — they kindly kept our luggage until the afternoon after we missed our train. The room is simple but spotlessly clean, with a large bed equipped with a mosquito net, some storage space for clothes, and a safe. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is delicious, and it’s very convenient to enjoy it on the terrace with a view of the sea. This guesthouse is well located within the fort, close to shops and amenities.

The guesthouse is comparatively expensive for Sri Lanka, but the location directly in the fort is impressive. Everything in the fort costs a little more here. The rooms are nice and you have everything you need. The breakfast is good and the staff are friendly. Especially the view from the cafe is wonderful and there is a cool breeze.
