Once a Merchant home from the 16th century, Fort Bazaar is a boutique hotel located in the heart of the Galle Fort. Built around a traditional Galle Fort private courtyard boasting the acclaimed Church Street Social restaurant library and Z Spa.
Free WiFi access is available throughout the property and the rooms come with complimentary soft drinks in the mini fridge. Breakfast and high tea is served for all in-house guests.
Galle Fort is 200 metres from Fort Bazaar, while Dutch Church Galle is 200 metres from the property.

Hands down my favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. My experience at the hotel was so good that I changed my plans and stayed here twice during my trip. The staff are so kind and helpful. Shout out to the chef, who treaded me to a special vegetarian Sri Lankan meal on my last night. The rooms are great, from the free mini bar to the super comfy bed. The new pool was big enough for me to have a proper swim to exercise, and there’s lots of spaces to relax, both indoors and out. If ever I come back to Sri Lanka, staying here will be top of the list.

The Fort Bazaar in Galle truly exceeded my expectations in many ways. The suite is incredibly spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, offering a luxurious retreat after exploring the historic fort area. The warm and friendly service provided by the staff made the stay even more enjoyable—they were attentive, accommodating, and always ready to assist. The breakfast offerings were excellent, with generous portions and a variety of delicious options to start the day. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Galle Fort, making it convenient to explore the area's attractions. I also appreciated the excellent communication, both pre-arrival and during the stay, via WhatsApp, which added a personal touch and made logistics seamless. Considering all these factors, the Fort Bazaar provides exceptional value for money.
