I liked the Alex Hotel. It has 7 rooms and is located near the Danube River embankment in Galati, next to a large, illuminated boulevard. The room was excellent, with a unique design and a semicircular wall. It had heating and hot water, a hairdryer, a kettle, two cups, water, and two glasses. We also received cookies as a gift from the hotel. There was no outlet near one bed, which was inconvenient for charging a cell phone. There was an outlet near the second bed, but it was far away, and the one-meter cord wasn't long enough. There was a central outlet near the desk. There was lighting above the beds, but the bulbs were very dim. It was fine to use a smartphone, but difficult to read. The bathroom was well-equipped, and everything was comfortable. The staff was very attentive to all our requests – payment upon arrival, calling a taxi, calling the dispatcher to reserve seats on the bus, and we were even offered breakfast for an additional fee. Everything was very clean. The room was spacious and warm, there were extrablankets and free bottle if water on arrival. 24 hours reception makes things very flexible - if you are hungry at midnight or would want an early breakfast, they are there. There is hotel,s parking too!
