If serenity had a postcode, it would be Villa Meroviglia. Perched high above Gaios like a well-kept secret, this villa offers jaw-dropping views. Think luxury meets laid-back charm. Every corner is thoughtfully furnished and equipped—like someone read your mind and stocked it with everything you didn’t know you needed. The pool is a showstopper: crystal-clear, perfectly placed, and begging for a pool side cocktail. Liz, the owner, is the kind of host who makes you feel like you’ve arrived at a friend’s house—if your friend happened to own a stunning villa. She met us at the port, gave us the grand tour in her car, and dropped us off like VIPs. Warm, welcoming, and wonderfully helpful. Yes, there’s a steep rocky path down to Gaios. Yes, it’s a bit of a trek. But it’s only 20 minutes, and every step is worth it for the picturesque port and tavernas that awaits at the bottom. Local transport tip back, My Paxos Driver (MPD) is perfect: reliable, friendly, and knows how to navigate the local roads and security gate to the Villa. Final Thought. Villa Meroviglia isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to exhale. Peaceful, private, and perfectly Paxos. If you’re looking for a hideaway with heart, this is it.

The view and privacy of the property were exceptional. The villa was clean and very well equipped with a lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Our bed was too firm but the next day they brought a topping and that sorted it out. The pool was superb and always clean. The cleaning staff came during the week and were quick and unobtrusive.
