the location was perfect- easy walking distance to restaurants, a lovely cocktail bar, supermarkets, botanical gardens and lake furnas. would definitely stay again. furnas is a much prettier town than the capital and we felt like there was a lot more to do in furnas than any other towns on the island so were really happy to have a beautiful apartment in the centre with views over the town.

Excellent location in the centre of Furnas, easy 15-20 minute walk to both popular hot spring areas. This location was also well situated to explore the Eastern side of the island and drive into Ponta Delgada for anything else needed. There are three grocery stores on the street (one just downstairs!) so very convenient to stock up. We cooked a lot and many of the things we needed were available in the kitchen. View from the bedroom was gorgeous and we saw rainbows several days! The jacuzzi tub was also a nice bonus, and having access to the washing machine was very convenient. The unit has A/C with heating and cooling so we were very comfortable even on rainy and windy days. The couch was also comfortable to hang out and watch some TV.

The apartment is almost in the center of Furnas. You can reach everything on foot. The private parking lot was invaluable feature, since we were here at the time of Santa Ana festival. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, we could see the fireworks from the balcony. Air conditioning was a great help to reduce the high humidity (which - on the other hand - makes the island's flora so rich). Those hydrangeas were so beautiful... Unfortunately we could not meet our host, but we got every information we needed. We also got detailed recommendations, that helped us explore the island.
