Gary “High quality apartment, quiet and clean”

A spacious apartment with a very good kitchen and bathroom. The owners welcomed us and made us feel at home. We enjoyed eating on the balcony, which faces east, so it gets sunshine in the morning and is not too hot in the evening. We slept well, beds were comfy and it was very quiet inside the building and not very noisy from outside as it is set back from the nearest (small) road. A big Continente supermarket is 1 km away. The apartment is located half-way between Funchal town and Praia Formosa beach. There is a road junction about 100m north of the building that is crossed by at least 4 regular bus routes. This made getting into Funchal fast and convenient. We used two other routes to get near to the start of hiking trails. Also, one levada walk starts at 5 minutes from the apartment. Not tested, this apartment has a parking space if needed (we found the bus system sufficient for one week stay).

This apartment had everything we needed! A well stocked kitchen, washing machine , large balcony to enjoy the sunshine, quiet location within walking distance to supermarkets, eateries, bus stops right out the front - couldn't have asked for more! The hosts were so lovely and answered any questions quickly and were very attentive to our needs.

Very nice appartment with huge balcony and very nice view over the Funchal, also nice and safe underground parking spot. Centrum of the city only 10 minutes walk downhill. Our hosts Blanca and João were incredibly friendly and helpfull, they also gave us lot of good travel tips! Thank You!

Location is excellent. There are bakery/cafés around, plus a few bars and restaurants. They're all really good quality and value too. The bus stops outside, so getting into Funchal centre is dead easy. Who needs a car? The veranda is big, so there is plenty of room and great viedws too.
