We had a wonderful time at this apartment. It was nicely furnished, clean, and equipped with all the essentials you need during your stay. The kitchen is basically equipped, the bed is firm but very comfortable, and the shared terrace offers a beautiful view. The location is ideal: within walking distance of the city center, although you do have to walk up a steep hill to get back – something to keep in mind, but it wasn’t a problem for us. There is also plenty of parking nearby, which is very convenient if you’re renting a car. The hosts, Roberto and Helena, were amazing. They are friendly, easy to reach, and gave us great tips on what to do in the area. They also helped us arrange tickets for several activities, which was a real bonus. The dinner on the last evening is highly recommended! All in all, a perfect place to stay for anyone wanting to explore Madeira from a comfortable and welcoming base.

We have just had a wonderful stay in our studio. It was everything I,d hoped. It was important to me to have the garden..which is totally beautiful. Just open the door and it,s there... Our contact with Helena and Roberto was very easy and they were so generous with information concerning everything we were curious about. Big thanks to them. The walk down to Funchal is fine. You have to be aware of traffic, but much of it has a pavement. This is standard for Funchal, not just this area, just a quirk of being slightly out of centre. The walk back up to the Quinta is good exercise. We did this everyday and felt the benefit...but there is also a bus stop right by the house, so not a problem. Parking is also easy and there is a great bakery and well stocked grocery store around the corner. I most certainly recommend Romantic Studio. We will certainly stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful villa, stunning views, very peaceful. Helpful hosts. Steep 20 min walk into the Zona Velta for closest restaurants or 4 Euros on the bus, 6 Euros in a taxi.
