Lovely location with a view out to sea. Shady terrace, more of a bonus in the summer but pleasant enough in December. Outside clothes line - much appreciated as nothing inside dried quickly. Windows had mosquito netting (which is good) so we could have them open all the time we were inside. Yes there are mosquitos in December! Supermarket is a 10 minute walk away - very convenient. Some Christmas decorations were up - nice touch. Airport bus stops at bus station in Av Caloustie Gulbenkian which is close by.

The pool and outside veranda were both lovely and very private. Town and eateries are all walkable.

This is a quirky old fashioned property not a modern bland one! The outside is glorious with its own unheated pool and patio area overlooking Funchal. Inside is antique and dark and full of character.

Beautiful property with historical charm. While the facilities were a little worn, everything was spotlessly clean and staying here was like experiencing a piece of Madiera’s history. The view is lovely and the location is great for the main town.
